The AMAL Series of Projects are part of Mission of Hope's continued growth and committment to working with and assisting the local community, in a manner designed to meet the unique cultural and religious needs of the diverse Australian Muslim community. A range of free services that will be staffed by trained volunteers attending to those needing emotional support in times of crisis, or in need of intervention.

| AMAL Helpline is a new telephone counselling/ crisis line initiative designed to meet the unique cultural and religious needs of the diverse Australian Muslim community. It is a free service that will be staffed by volunteer telephone counsellors attending to those needing emotional support in times of crisis. |

| AMAL Street Outreach will see a dedicated team of trained volunteers heading into the streets of Canterbury/Bankstown and the Auburn areas targeting 'At-Risk' youth. Our aim is to be a point of intervention to help this target group who are experiencing social and personal issues, in an empathetic, goal-directed, and culturally-appropriate way. |

| AMAL Community Outreach will start to involve regular visits to the various Detention Centres on a fortnightly and/or monthly basis, depending on volunteer availabilities, so that they can interact and develop positive and beneficial relationships with Detainees over a period of time. |
